Kat and Dan contacted us in 2020 to chat about a brilliant, tropical dream that they had. A tropical wedding theme is perfect for the summer, and for those looking to do things a little bit differently. Picture it - a wedding beside the sea, filled with vibrant colours, exotic flowers and magical details.
Kat & Dan’s dream didn’t stop there - they also had a twist in mind. As fans of J.R.R Tolkien, they wanted combine a tropical wedding with a famous Lord of the Rings theme.
This one was an exciting challenge. Working with a colour scheme that reflects nature, warm places and a lot of fun immediately brought to mind flamingos and coloured prints. However, this contradicted the natural beauty and sometimes dark nature of the famous Lord of the Rings films.
This led us to create a more minimalistic feel - using bright, vivacious colours yet maintaining the theatrical concept of both themes, using bronze and gold to tie the wedding together.
With tables named after their favourite Lord of the Rings places, and a wedding cakes with skulls on it, this was a wedding to remember!
Kat & Dan held their ceremony at our infamous Paradise Island venue with its show-stopping view, encompassing various of shades of blue and greens to reflect that tropical feel.
Afterwards, they opted to travel by one of our luxury coaches to our bespoke, Venetian venue with plenty more tropical greenery and a cosy atmosphere with panoramic views of the sea. There they spent the night partying away in one of our majestic private venues.
